Why there's no Week 2-6...

I was all gung-ho about doing another Project 365, and then a whole lot of reality, nausea, exhaustion, and excitement that couldn't be translated into creative energy hit, and here we are.

Oh, winter. Some days I have trouble seeing the beauty, and our days seem long, and I am bored with photographing the very same places in our very messy home, and I just shoot through anyway.

This week was filled with more birthday celebrations, and the ever present reality that our baby is much less a baby and more a toddler. A toddler who sneaks in on anyone taking a bath or shower because she can't resist the sound of water running and missing out on it. 

We had our regular things, like ballet, where my girls love to check in with their amazing teacher if they can steal a few moments.

Mlada has always loved her other baby friends so. much. that she would shake in excitement and love them a little too roughly. Lately you can see her brain working hard, and if you mention the word gentle, she'll pat her buddy's head (not necessarily gently, but better). This little snuggle; though, oh my. She did it a few times, and looked up to me after the first time, trying to figure out if it was okay. Oh, sweet girl, may you always love with your whole heart.

Our last Christmas present was presented... this darling little tent! There was almost immediately a picnic, and the next day, a sleeping bag was rolled out.

As always, a whole lot of baby wearing, and this sweet little face looking up at me.

Finally, as the week closed out, we had one more celebration for Mlada (as we had to call off her friends last week when she spiked a fever). Here's hoping next week is all about full nights of sleep!

Dear 2017: I'm here, we're ready, let's go! In the first week we've already had a foggy drive back from Kansas to our home in Colorado, a (FIRST) birthday, a fresh snow,  an indoor picnic, and, on the downside, a seriously cruddy cold settled in this past weekend (happy birthday, poor Mlada!)

365 Photos in 365 Days: Weeks 49-52

Here we have the last few stragglers in my 365 project. I'm a wee bit overwhelmed with the work built up from our three weeks away (shooting photos but not being able to edit), so they aren't numbered, and I may be missing a few here and there from days I only shot for work, but I love these. It has been a lovely, if a bit hectic year. I'm proud of this project, and looking forward to another year filled with my sweet husband and babes.
